MAXxess
Systems has enjoyed particular success in the Middle
East following its transformation from being solely an Access
Control manufacturer to a leading developer of sophisticated security
management software solutions.
“We
are a totally different company to what we were just three years
ago,” added Lee. “The digital revolution and the inevitable
march towards IP/Network based security solutions has created
opportunities for the integration of a multitude of systems. We
recognise there is a market demand for software solutions that
can take the effort and cost out of integration and as a result
we have invested massively in R&D to bring us to a stage where
we can claim to be leading the industry in the provision of integration
software tools.”

Prior
to a management buy-out that saw the introduction of the MAXXESS
Systems name, the company was the access control division of GYYR
and had been involved with the manufacture of access control solutions
for over 21 years. Following the buy-out, the company looked closely
at how the needs of the security market was evolving and realised
it could offer clients much more. MAXXESS transformed itself from
being solely an access control supplier into a company that now
concentrates its resources into developing software solutions
to allow businesses and organisations to get the best out of their
investment security systems.
“We
have enjoyed considerable success over the last few years but
perhaps we have not been shouting loud enough about what we have
been achieving compared to other manufacturers operating within
the security industry,” said Lee Copland, Managing Director
of MAXXESS Systems EMEA. “We certainly have a pedigree to
be proud of and with the recent launch of our eAXxess, eFusion
and EndPointadaptive software suites, the time is right for us
to raise our market profile.”
MAXXESS Systems Europe has achieved its considerable worldwide
success by providing a very high level of pre and post sales support.
Locally based MAXXESS teams enthusiastically assist clients at
every stage of a contract, from system design through to installation,
commissioning and training. Every contract is project managed
by hands-on senior managers.
When asked to provide an overview on what the company provides,
Lee said: “In simple terms our software solutions enable
a multitude of different types of systems to be seamlessly integrated
together to ensure clients get the maximum out of their security
systems, improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, maximise
the life of existing systems and facilitate seamless migration
to new technologies. Key to the success of what we offer through
the eAXxess, eFusion and EndPointadaptive software suites is that
clients do not have to strip out existing infrastructure when
implementing new technology. Clients do not need to incur the
cost of investing in changes to infrastructure or training which
are not required to meet immediate objectives. This does not in
any way, however, limit the ability to do so in the future, when
new threats or requirements evolve.”
The
Opportunity......
One
of the largest potential areas for cost reduction is in the area
of operations. MAXXESS software solutions provide a framework
for integrating security and facility functions as well as displaying
critical information on one screen. Customers can now efficiently
monitor fire alarm systems, video events, access control systems,
intrusion alarm panels, building management systems, web feeds,
video ID badging, and perimeter detection products. The data flow
from all these systems is filtered to bring only the relevant
information to the decision makers.
MAXXESS
security systems therefore allows clients to see the
bigger picture, make more informed decisions, whilst cutting their
security costs dramatically.
If
the answer to one or more of these questions is ‘yes’,
then ‘integration’ is likely to be your next step.
The MAXXESS Solutions – a brief overview
eAXxess™
equips installers and system integrators with a powerful software
tool to implement the integration of access control, badging and
CCTV systems. eAXxess gives you the power to customize your access
control system to your specific needs without requiring advanced
technical expertise.

eFusion
Version 2.0 comprises ten separate software modules which
individually are able to address specific security issues. When
working together they provide a sophisticated global integrated
security management software solution.
eFusion
has been designed to transparently adapt to individual user’s
evolving requirements with individual modules introduced as new
needs or threats emerge. Among the eFusion modules is ViewPoint™
which allows users to display video from multiple sources on one
master display, regardless of the CCTV equipment manufacturer.

Integrator™
is a particularly useful module as it gives system integrators
a powerful, but easy to use software tool to facilitate integration
of both security and non-security systems. System integrators
can themselves, with minimal training, produce the libraries to
integrate with, for example, building management systems (BMS),
intruder alarms and fire detection systems, without protracted
discussions with the respective manufacturers or for detailed
involvement with software development kits (SDKs). The Integrator™
module can be supplied with a large number of pre-loaded libraries
including those from intruder alarm manufacturers Galaxy, Texecom,
DMP and Scantronic and fire detection manufacturers Gent, Inovonics
and Notifier.
EndPointadaptive is an enterprise level solution
which can bring together all the critical information about your
facilities, assets and people onto a single display to ensure
that incidents, problems and emergencies are dealt with effectively.
Although security managers are an obvious major beneficiary, IT,
facilities and operations management can all achieve significant
Business Advantage by exploiting the full sophisticated power
of an Endpointadaptive framework solution.
In
a tough economic climate the criminal fraternity will have no
intention of suffering, and indeed, more of them are likely to
come out of retirement. Regretfully, there is also the ongoing
threat and fear of terrorism. In these circumstances companies
and organisations maybe under pressure to reduce head count which
might include security personnel who may well wish to capitalise
on the business advantage of an integrated security management
software solution and MAXXESS Systems are ideally placed to guide
them through the process.
“Our
people are all highly trained professionals who are passionate
about providing clients with the highest levels of pre and post
sales support. MAXXESS is a global solutions provider committed
to offering installers, system integrators and end-users with
the highest levels of service.”
